William Beverly "Bill" Stewart (1936-2014), Sussex Corner

Bill Stewart in earlier years was a Venturer Advisor with St. Paul's United Group in Sussex and he was one of the founders of Operation Nighthawk.

James McCracken (1923-2014), McAdam

James McCracken served as a member of the Group Committee and treasurer of 1st McAdam Scout Group from 1956 to 1974.

Glen Steven McNair (1981-2014), Moncton

Glen was involved at St John's Scouting and St. Michaels Scouting in Moncton, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.  He was a member of Scouts Canada for 10 years.  In 1989, Glen received the Jack Cornwall Decoration award which represents the member with a high level of Patience, Determination and Courage.

Michael Bleakney (1956-2013)

Michael Bleakney, who was killed in the bus-train collision in Ottawa on September 18, 2013, had been a Scouter in Fredericton from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. He had worked with the 9th Fredericton Scout Troop at Wilmot United Church and had, for a time, been part of the combined Troop which linked 3rd Fredericton with 7th Fredericton and 9th Fredericton. The combined troop came together in 1989 for the first time and Mike was often a Scouter with the combined Troop until 1995. 

Ian Sheppard

Ian worked as a Scout leader with 14th Fredericton Scout Troop for thirty years, starting in 1974.

Geoff Foss (1952 - 2013)

Geoff was a Scout in the 1960s and retained an interest in Scouting throughout his life. He lived and worked in the Saint John area. He made his major contribution to Scouting in New Brunswick by setting up and maintaining the infrastructure of electricity, plumbing and similar services at the various provincial jamborees held between 1970 and 1999. Most recently, Geoff installed a temporary summer water-line in the Miller Campsite at the Yoho Scout Reserve. He was a member of the Miramichi Pioneers.

Captain Alwyn G. E. Soppitt (1946 - 2013)

Al was a Cub and Scout leader as well as a District Commissioner for Courtenay District in Saint John.

Ron Chisholm (1935 – 2013)

Ron Chisholm was an active Scouter in New Brunswick since 1959. In Saint John, he was the Scoutmaster of Park Avenue Scout Troop (1959 – 64) and served as District Commissioner of Kennebecasis District (1966 – 69), District Commissioner of Courtenay District (1973 – 1975) and Assistant Regional Commissioner of the Saint John Region (1975 – 77). In Moncton, he was a Scoutmaster with 4th Moncton (1964 – 1966). In Fredericton, he worked with 1st Barkers Point Group Committee (1980 – 81), was Troop Scouter with 14th Fredericton (1981 – 1983), was an active member of the Service Team of the Fredericton District (1983 – 1996) and served on the Group Committee for 2nd Nashwaaksis Group (1995 – 2013). He was awarded the 40 year long-service award.

Wendell W. Meldrum (1924 - 2013)

Wendell W. Meldrum served as a Scout leader in Sackville in the 1950s and 1960s, after which he went on to become a member of the Louis Robichaud Government and, later, a judge.
